A better music experience with Xbox Music

One of my favorite Windows Phone features is the Music+Videos hub. It provides me a better music experience by changing my phone’s lock screen wallpaper to display the artist of the song being played.  With Xbox Music, my music experience gets better.

Xbox Music

Xbox Music is a combination of free streaming, music subscription, and a music store to purchase songs.  It replaces the previous Zune music service, although the Zune client is still available to sync our Windows Phones.  With 30 million songs, Xbox Music has the largest music collection and with SmartDJ, you can discover more songs easily.

Free streaming works like most Internet radio services.  The good thing with Xbox Music is that it will allow unlimited skipping.  Subscriptions allow you to download songs to your device so you can listen to it whenever you are offline.  And if you like a song, you can buy it as well without having to go to another service.

By being connected to the cloud, your playlists, personalized Internet radio stations, and other preferences will be synced, allowing you to have the same music experience across your devices, whether you are on your Windows 8 PC, Windows Phone 8 device, or Xbox 360 console.
