People Hub: Putting people first

Posted on December 8, 2011

Christmas parties here and there, how do you organize them?  Do you call or text your friends?  Or do you chat with them online through Facebook or Windows Live?

Windows Phone’s People Hub is not your ordinary phone book.  It not only has cellphone numbers and e-mail addresses but Facebook and Twitter profiles of your friends as well.  Now, it is easier to contact a person as you can either call, text/chat, e-mail or post on the Facebook wall easily.  The text/chat is very useful, as you can either send an SMS or chat through Windows Live or Facebook.

The What’s New displays all the social network updates from your contacts.  Clicking on a contact will only display updates from the selected contact.  You could even post a comment or reply with just one tap.

The most recent contacts are also displayed so it is easier to go back to the last person you communicated with.  You can also pin that contact to your start menu so that it will only take one tap to talk.  Like the People tile, the contact’s tile also updates.

Contacts can also be organized into Groups so that it will be easier to send group messages.  These can also be pinned to your Start menu.

Stay close to the people who matters the most to you with Windows Phone’s People hub: Putting people first.
