Windows Live SkyDrive is an online file hosting service that allows users to store up to 7 GB worth of files for free. Files can be uploaded using an Internet browser or through syncing via Windows Live Mesh.

There are other ways of uploading files. If you are using Office 2010, you can directly upload your Word, Excel, or PowerPoint documents to your SkyDrive. You can also use Office Web Apps to view Office documents uploaded to your SkyDrive.

You can also upload pictures via Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Videos created from Windows Live Movie Maker can also be uploaded as well.

You can set the permissions on who can access the files you have uploaded.

You can also send a link to the file or folder. If you have your Facebook account synced to your Windows Live account, you can also set it to publish a link in your Facebook Wall every time you upload new content.

Try Windows Live SkyDrive to get free online storage and access your files on the go!
