Windows Live Mesh 2011

Posted on April 20, 2011

Windows Live Mesh 2011 is a synchronization application that allows you to sync files between PCs, Macs, and SkyDrive. It can also be used to remotely access a computer through the internet.

When you sign in to Windows Live Mesh, you will be shown the status of your device. Here, you can set which folder(s) you want to be synced across your devices and/or SkyDrive. You can also sync your Internet Explorer favorites as well as styles, templates, and other settings for Microsoft Office.

When you click “Sync a folder”, you will be prompted which folder you want to sync and where you want it to be synced.

After successfully syncing a folder, you can see the status if it is up to date in your current device as well as the other devices.

You can also see the devices you are connected to when you click “Go to Windows Live Devices.” It will open a webpage which will display all your devices.

You can personalize each device so it will be easier to identify them.

You can also do remote access as long as the device is on and you have allowed remote access.

Windows Live Mesh is part of Windows Live Essentials. You can get it for free here.
